AIM 3D

Your scene in 3D, ready to show.

Place shapes, text and models, give them materials that look real, light them like a studio set and export the scene for the web, augmented reality or your 3D printer. All in your browser, with nothing to install.

Free, no sign-up, no card.

For product and brand designers, content creators, teachers and students, makers who 3D print and anyone who wants to present an object or an idea in three dimensions.

What usually gets in the way

  • Heavy software to install

AIM 3D opens in a browser tab: nothing to download, install or update.

  • Pricey subscriptions for occasional use

AIM 3D is free and complete, with no time limit and no card.

  • Files only one program can open

AIM 3D opens glTF, GLB, FBX and USDZ directly, with nothing to convert first.

What you can do with AIM 3D

Shapes, text and lights in one click

Box, sphere, cylinder, capsule, torus, knot, lathe, tube and polyhedra, each with its size and detail editable afterwards. Extruded, bevelled 3D text, ambient, hemisphere, directional, point and spot lights, and perspective or orthographic cameras.

Materials that look real

Roughness and metalness for plastics, ceramics and metals; transmission and thickness for glass; clearcoat, iridescence and sheen; emission for things that glow. Add colour, bump, roughness or normal maps from your own images and set their tiling and rotation.

Studio light and environment

A colour, image or 360° panorama background, environment lighting that gives believable reflections instantly, fog, soft shadows and exposure tone. The product studio, abstract composition and 3D logo templates give you a polished starting point.

Place things precisely

Move, rotate and scale with the viewport handles or exact values, organise the scene into groups by dragging in the outliner, duplicate and undo without limit. Keyboard shortcuts for every tool and a view that focuses on your selection.

Open the models you already have

glTF and GLB (including Draco-compressed and KTX2 textures), FBX, OBJ with its MTL, STL, PLY, 3MF, DAE, 3DS, USDZ, VOX and SVG. Drop the model and its textures onto the viewport, or a ZIP with everything, and it lands in place.

Model animation

Models that come with animations keep them: the animation panel lists them and plays, pauses and scrubs through them so you can pick the exact moment for your scene.

Export for every destination

GLB and glTF for the web, other 3D apps and game engines; USDZ for augmented reality on mobile; STL and PLY for 3D printing; OBJ for exchange. Export the whole scene or just the object you pick, with the AIM CREATE signature in the file.

Your scene, kept safe

It saves itself in your browser as you work and comes back when you return, with your change history if you want it. Save the whole project as an .aim3d file to carry on on another computer or share it.

Why you can trust it

  • Everything in your browser

AIM 3D runs inside your browser: it opens and saves on your computer. Your files are never uploaded to a server and nobody else sees them.

  • Spanish company, servers in the EU

AIM CREATE belongs to Biomag, a Spanish technology company since 1987. The website and accounts run on servers in the European Union.

  • No watermarks

Not even on the free plan: what you export is yours, as it is, and video goes up to 4K.

  • Clear pricing

Free forever. CREATE Plus is optional: €1.99 a month on the yearly plan (€23.88 a year) or €2.49 a month paid every 6 months, VAT included.

Questions about AIM 3D

Do I need a powerful computer?

No. AIM 3D uses your graphics card through the browser (WebGL) and works in any current browser. Scenes with very heavy models or lots of shadows run more smoothly on a dedicated graphics card.

Which format should I export?

GLB if you'll use the scene on the web, in another 3D app or in a game engine: it's a single file with textures and materials. USDZ to view it in augmented reality on mobile, STL to print it, and OBJ when another tool only reads that format.

Can I open a model with its textures?

Yes. Drop the model together with its images onto the viewport, or a ZIP containing everything, and AIM 3D links the textures for you. Draco-compressed glTF files and KTX2 textures open with no extra steps.

Is it a modelling program?

AIM 3D composes scenes: parametric shapes, text, lights, materials and models you bring from other tools. To model organic shapes by hand, use AIM Sculpt and bring the result here.

Are my models uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser and is saved on your device; nothing leaves it except the files you download.
